“The landfills are full of stuff people throw away that still have use,” Cornell said. “And we have so much need locally, why not help your neighbor?”
Hoarders Without Borders was founded in April 2011 by Pastor Cornell Holmes of Word of Faith Church.

Recycling an unused building into a storage facility and finding a trailer to haul items are at the top of the nonprofit’s wish list. The group is self-funded and relies on the generosity of others to survive.
This is from their Facebook page:
We recently started this non-profit organization with the desire to give back to our community. There are so many familes in need who cannot even afford to make purchases at our local thrift stores, so we formed this organization to RECYCLE used goods back into our communities. When people donate their gently used tiesm to us,we in turn give it back to the community for FREE. We service our community first and whatever clothing, shoes or books that are left over each month, they are shipped out to the Third World Countries where families there literally do not have clothes on their backs or shoes on their feet.
We accept everything including any EWASTE (old computers, Televisons, laptops, monitors, keyboards, small household appliances, vacuum cleaners, etc.) except for Hazardous Materials, Illegal items or anything that ouwld be a Health Issue. We also Recycle everything that cannot be given to families to help lessen the landfills in the process. Remember to REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE!
We also have a NEEDS LIST that a person can be placed on along with their items of need and as people donate these items, we call the families on the list. Our organization is also in partnership with the Superior Court Probation Department, Valley Restart, Exceed, CPS, C.A.S.A., Hemet Valley Hospice, Anka and Social Services. We are contracted with the local Gain Program where we provide an avenue for the applicants to acquire job skills as well as being able to help them with any items that they may need to start their lives over. We rely on the generosity of our donors so every item that is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support as we work together to “Clean up our community one piece at a time!”
