Naturopathic Medicine (Temecula) — November 12

The following is from Temecula Valley HMN at temeculavalleyhmn@gmail.com:

Farmstead Market in Murrieta is opening Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 10 am.

At last, a real food market in Murrieta (the co-owner is a local organic farmer)!  It is very close to the freeway at California Oaks and Jefferson.  For more information, view http://murrieta.patch.com/articles/farmstead-market-opens-monday-in-murrieta?ncid=newsltuspatc00000001.

Don’t forget to vote on November 6 – men and women fought and died for our right to vote and women in the US have only been able to vote for 92 years!  Many holistic-minded families are very involved in supporting Proposition 37, the effort to have genetically modified food labelled in California.

If you share that support we encourage you to educate others on the issue and encourage them to vote!  If you have any questions about how you can help, please email Kathy Lynch at kathylynch@wellskills.com.

Also, don’t forget that our next monthly meeting is November 12 at 10 am.  I know that many kids will be off school for Veterans Day so feel free to bring them along with some quiet activities that they can share. We’ll set up an area in the back so they can quietly play and do activities while moms and dads listen to the speaker!

The topic for November is Naturopathic Medicine!

Naturopathic medicine — what is it and what can you do at home for wellness? Come meet Dr. Alisha, a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with a private practice at Ajna Health Spa. She has a passion for beauty, wellness and optimal aging. She is a native Oregonian, graduate of Portland State University and the National College of Natural Medicine. Dr. Alisha views health as a state of harmony within the mind, body, and spirit. It is her goal to help the community achieve optimum health through prevention and natural treatment, as she believes “if we don’t have health, what do we have?”

Location: Assistance League of Temecula Valley, 28720 Via Montezuma, Temecula, CA 92590
