Cardboard DIY Projects

I am a very practical person, but I value innovation.    Innovation often leads to very practical solutions.   After you are done laughing at the wacky projects — read and learn.

  • – Cardboard Bicycle for $9 – “The design process was arduous. Engineers told Gafni that his idea was impossible. Yet he realized that paper could be strong if treated properly. As in crafting origami and tearing telephone books, he explains, “[if] you fold it once, and it’s not just twice the strength, it’s three times the strength.””
  • – Cardboard Swimming Pool – I have wanted a lap pool for years, but not enough to spend $15,000.  This project would be far more affordable at almost $400! Whether it is a good idea or not, is not an issue for me.   I admire the creativity of it.  I am posting this to show that it is possible.
