Landscapes Southern California Style (Riverside)

Landscapes Southern California Style is a one-acre demonstration garden. It is the place to go in the Inland Empire for water-wise ideas. The garden is an education center that offers not just excellent examples of California native and climate-appropriate plants, but also information on the irrigation systems and soils that greatly impact a landscape’s water-saving ability.

The garden is located at 450 E. Alessandro Blvd., Riverside CA 92508, and is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. except for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.  From the 91 freeway, take Central Avenue east for five miles.  Central Avenue turns into Alessandro Blvd.  From the 215 freeway, take Alessandro Blvd. west for two miles.

Docent led tours and classes taught by Master Gardeners are available.

They offer many resources on their website.   I highly recommend visiting their site at http://www.wmwd.com/index.aspx?nid=124.
